GRAND BUDAPEST TOUR - MY CITY IN DEPTH Based on your interests and your own priorities
HIT ALL THE HOT SPOTS ON OUR MOST POPULAR GRAND BUDAPEST TOUR! COME SEE EVERYTHING BUDAPEST HAS TO OFFER!
We will cover everything from national icons, cultural heritage, to local phenomena: the world famous Parlament house, the buzzing Great Market Hall, the intricate and ornate New York Cafe, the bedazzled Opera House, and one of Europe’s largest synagogues are all on the list – along with many more! Do it all like a local, we make it easy.
MIRACLES, DETAILS, INTRICACY AND….SWASTIKAS?

Although you have probably already been to many churches, we guarantee you’ve never quite seen one like this! We have an old saying, “If you haven’t seen our Matthias Church, then you haven’t really been to Budapest.”
This goes to show you just how truly mezmerizing, detailed, and gorgeous this church really is. We know you love Instagram and Facebook, but sorry – photos simply will not do this magical structure any justice. It must be witnessed in person!
As for the curiosity of swastikas painted on the walls – well those are the types of historical intricacies you will learn on our tours.
SIGHTS, SCENES, AND COFFE!

While on the elevated rolling hills of the Buda side, from what is known as the Fisherman’s Bastion, we will witness firsthand exactly why Budapest is known as the “Pearl of the Danube.”
Without any “iconic” catchy monument like the Eiffel Tower or the London Eye, Budapest captures its audience with an inherent style, natural charm, and captivating beauty that simply oozes uncontrived.
OLD BAKERY, NEW LOVE
After everything you’ve already seen and done – you deserve a break.
Let us treat you to fresh Hungarian pastries, baked goods, and soothing coffee in one of Budapest’s oldest and most famous patisseries that is beloved by locals.
Although we could spend two days discovering local treasures in just that area alone, the show must go on!

STATUE OF LIBERTY, CITADEL and GREAT MARKET HALL
Many don’t believe it when we say that Hungary has its own Statue of Liberty – but they will believe it when they see it! Some even argue that it is more moving than that other one somewhere in America (kidding).
One thing is certain, the view is simply marvelous, so get your cameras ready – and we don’t need to take a boat to get there! On top of that, we also get to explore archaic citadel in the process!
After that unforgettable visit to our Lady Liberty and war ravaged citadel, you will visit what CNN described as “the most beautiful of its kind in the world” – our Great Market Hall. Full of local foods and random trinkets, you will surely enjoy the hustle and bustle of this market. Trust us, this definitely isn’t „FAKE NEWS” from CNN – regardless of your politcal views!

A CROWN OF JEWISH HERITAGE AND MORE
From there, we take you into Budapest’s nuanced Jewish Quarter, which is an area full of nuanced nooks and crannies just waiting to be discovered.
Among the most obvious of those nuances, is our Great Synagogue. It’s hard to miss, considering this temple was the world’s largest at the time of completion. While it may not adorn that title anymore, it is nevertheless a wonderful sight to behold boasting Moorish design and unique architecture!
While in the area, we’ll dive in a bit deeper and take you to a classical ornate coffeshop steeped in local tradition and historic value. It is so beautiful, that a variety of American and international films come all the way to Budapest just to film inside!
HEROES’ SQUARE
We will take into Budapest’s largest square, and arguably its most beautiful as well. Not only is it a majestic and magnificent scene, but we give you a history lesson you are sure to love. If you want to learn anything about a place you visit, then we must stop here! Every single one of our national heroes are commemorated, from warrior tribes, to founding fathers, kings, priests, and saints.
We will spend one hour learning the personal details of each, followed by an exam – just kidding! While we do give a relatable brief breakdown, we can’t waste too much time as there is simply too much for us to see!

Want to know where Hungarian cuisine got any reputation, if at all? While in the area we will stop at the famous Restaurant Gundel – which was founded by George Lang, who also owned Cafe des Artists in New York.
From there, if we’re lucky, we might also just catch a glimpse of the city park, our version of New York’s Central Park, and a magical palace (or Vajdahunyad vára in Hungarian) as well!

THERMAL BATHS and BUDAPEST ZOO
While it might be odd, our Budapest Zoo is right next to our most famous Bath House. You would think the stench of animals belongs nowhere near a spa, right? Wrong! Actually the natural thermal water itself is so rich in mineral content, that it too has quite a strong smell that some say…well….stinks! Bathhouses and spas are quintessential and beloved by locals, remnants left over from our Roman and Ottoman guests of the past. Budapest, Hungary, and the entire region sit on a bredth of natural hot springs (over 100 in Budapest alone) – so you won’t have a problem finding a bathhouse, not only next to the zoo!

CLASSICAL STREETS AND BUILDINGS
As we venture back into the center of the city, we will enjoy a magical drive along our city’s equivalent of 5th Avenue, Rodeo Drive, or the Champs Elysees – Andrassy út. This fancy road is lined with designer brand name stores and cafes, but most importantly, we will stop at the famous Budapest State Opera House.
If we want to explore a bit further, or you want us to help arrange tickets for you, do not hesitate to ask! We have a few other treasures in the area for you to discover as well!

NOT THE BIGGEST, BUT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL
While our Parlament building may not be the biggest in the world (England holds that title), ours is without question the most incredibly beautiful and visually inspiring. Furthermore, it is the 2nd biggest Parlament in the world…but who’s counting anyway? Even if you don’t usually visit cities particularly for the architecture or certain buildings, we assure you that this one is worth your time.
If you want to actually go inside the Parlament, that too can be arranged, but please order in advance. Tickets usually sell out very quickly, particularly in summer and popular travel times.
Our Grand Budapest Tour is personally inspired, designed, and custom tailored by us to help you make the most of your brief trip to Budapest and Hungary.
If your clients feel they want to focus on something specific, or move at a different pace, we are more than happy to adjust and adapt the tour. Our main focus is for your clients to relax and enjoy, while we share our magical city!
