TERMS & CONDITIONS

In order to make sure that both you and I are happy to go into business together, I wrote down the Terms and Conditions clearly. No small print. Please take a few moments to review with your clients my ‘Terms and Conditions’.

NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

To confirm services, a 15% non refundable deposit is required.

Final payment is 30 days prior to service.

Once the nonrefundable deposit has arrived, you will be sent an invoice on which the remaining amount, with the deadline for payment, will be indicated.

Due to delays with international transfers an extra three working days should be taken into account to make sure funds arrive on time.

METHODS OF PAYMENT FOUND ON MY WEBSITE

You can choose from:

  1. IBAN bank transfers
  2. PayPal (but PayPal incurs a 4-6% transaction fee in addition to the deposit)

CANCELLATION AND PENALTIES

All cancellations must be received in writing.

If you wish to cancel, the following amount will be refunded (minus the 15% non refundable deposit ):

  • more than 45 calendar days prior to the tour: 85%  of the tour amount
  • 44 calendar days to 30 days prior to the tour: 50% of the tour amount
  • less than 29 calendar days prior to the tour: non refundable

Entrance fees, theatre/sports tickets and special private access tours are non-refundable.

Refunds will be issued within two working days.

FAILURE TO ATTEND

Please make sure your clients are reminded to check all relevant documents before travelling.

Certain tour charges apply if they don’t have appropriate documentation and are denied entry.

Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond return trips for international travel.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

If clients arrive with a lot of luggage (typically for a river cruise) please make sure you order the appropriate car size to avoid dissatisfaction.

Example: the luggage for a couple spending two weeks in Europe will generally not fit in the trunk of an E-Class Mercedes. They will need a V-Class Mercedes that has a bigger trunk for the airport transfer. However, an E-Class Mercedes will be sufficient for the sightseeing tour.

BOOKING ALTERATIONS

Cancellation fees may apply if details are changed after order.

Example: a 6-seat Mercedes V-Class van is ordered for 6 people. An extra person then joins the group. Cancellation fees will apply because the 6-seated Mercedes will have to be paid anyway.

CHILD CAR SEAT

Child car seats are available for a fixed $ 20 surcharge per day.

MINIMUM OF 3 HOURS & TIME FRAME

In common with other European countries, there is a minimum 3-hour duration per tour and the time frames are morning or afternoon.

INSURANCE

Health, accident, baggage and trip cancellation & interruption insurance is strongly recommended.

My company’s Cancellation Policy will be strictly enforced to cover unavoidable expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.

TICKETS AND ENTRIES:

Please contact me before booking so that I can check the opening hours.  It is better to book sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

  • PARLIAMENT TICKETS

Occasionally the building is closed to the public, for example during visits by foreign dignitaries or other high-security events. There are no tours on certain days such as New Year’s Day or Christmas Eve.

The Hungarian House of Parliament reserves the right to cancel any tour.

  • MATTHIAS CHURCH TICKETS

Our best-known Church is open to tourists between 9-5pm on weekdays.

On Saturdays, especially in the high season, it can be closed to the public due to wedding ceremonies or other religious events.

The Matthias Church is always closed to the public on Sundays for Mass. It re-opens at 1 pm. Tourist are not permitted entry before that time.

Please contact me before booking so that I can check the opening hours.

  • HOUSE OF TERROR

The House of Terror is closed on Mondays, in common with other European museums.
